ALGEMENE BOUWPLAN BLOEDVATEN

Tunica intima (kernen, subendotheliaal BW en membrana elastica interna)
- Laag endotheelcellen
- Subendotheliaal bindweefsel: losmazig en beperkt aanwezig (soms gladde spiercellen)
- arteriën: membrana elastica interna tussen intima en media → versmelting longitudinaal georiënteerde
elastische vezels

Tunica media (membrana elastica externa en vezels)
- Circulair gerangschikte gladde spiercellen, met ertussen wisselende hoeveelheid elastische en collagene vezels
- Membrana elastica externa tussen media en adventitia: vezelig en minder scherp afgelijnd

Tunica adventitia
- Hoofdzakelijk bindweefsel dat concentrisch gelegen is rond de bloedvaten → veel longitudinaal gericht collageen
en soms gladde spiervezels
- Bij grotere vaten: vasa vasorum, vasa lymphatica vasorum en zenuwen terug te vinden
- Gaat zonder scherpe grens over in omliggende bindweefsel rond bloedvat

Tunica intima
- Dik subendotheliale laag
- Longitudinale bindweefselvezels (elastisch)
- Luminale kant: endotheelcellen → hoge metabole en synthetische activiteit

Tunica media
- Hoog gehalte aan elastine(!)
- Concentrische elastische membranen met openingen en ertussen schuine, korte gladde spiercellen → houden
membranen samen
- Dunne collageen vezels en amorfe tussenstof

Tunica adventitia
- Geen elatische membranen
- Veel longitudinaal verlopende elastische en collagene vezels waartussen kernen van fibroblasten en gladde
spieren zichtbaar zijn
