A.Given a blank multiplication table, students will correctly fill it out with 90% accuracy.
B.As a formative assessment, students will be given a multiplication chart that is 20% filled out
and will work with a partner to complete the chart. The first row and first column will be completed for the students.
1.I will collect data by walking around the room and making note of where students are
thriving and where they seem to be struggling more. I will also make note if I notice
that a particular student seems to be struggling more.
2.To provide feedback, while walking around taking my notes, I will let students know they’re doing a great job so far if I see no signs of struggling. If I see a student struggling, I
will stop and guide them through working out what comes next on the chart. I will also point out patterns that can be found throughout the chart to the whole class.
a. The feedback I give students will help them develop their multiplication skills and will in turn help them meet the goal of filling out a multiplication chart. The patterns that I pointed out will also be a great tool in helping students remember how to fill out the chart.
