Sekseducatie is een belangrijk onderdeel van de opvoeding en educatie, maar voor mensen met een
verstandelijke beperking kan dit een uitdagend onderwerp zijn (De Zorgcoach, 2021).
Verstandelijk beperkten ervaren namelijk vaak problemen op dit gebied, denk hierbij aan
achterstand in de ontwikkeling, het gebrek aan begrijpen en opslaan van informatie en het feit dat ze
minder toegang tot begrijpelijke informatie hebben (Seksuelevorming.nl, 2024). Het is daarom
interessant om te onderzoeken of het geven van sekseducatie daadwerkelijk het kennisniveau van
deze mensen veranderd. In dit CAT-verslag wordt er ingegaan op de vraag of sekseducatie het
kennisniveau van mensen met een verstandelijke beperking kan verhogen.
