,The psychology of coaching is fundamentally a group of strategies
that are developed to assist the coaches to increase their ability to
influence the behaviour of players efficiently. You are required to
interact with a coach over a period. It can either be a team or
individual sport coach. You must go through various stages of the
project which also include reading prescribed and recommended
readings. Thereafter, you are required to compile a report about your
experience with a coach. The main purpose of this assignment is to
introduce you to the working context of a sport psychologist and the
academic literature on sport psychology and coaching. The final
report that you submit for assignment 02 will be the product of your
interactions with a coach and having consulted various
recommended readings. In order to assist you to plan and structure
the report, we have suggested below the specific outline of your
report. It consists of five sections with each section reflecting a
different stage of your work. You should use the outline as a
checklist when compiling the report. The assignment will be marked
using a rubric which will be posted on myUnisa. The rubric is
designed to reflect each aspect of the instructions and you may
easily lose marks for omissions. So, pay careful attention to the
instructions. Marks will also be awarded for attention to technical
aspects (formatting, grammar, referencing) and for creativity. • The
final report – outline Section A: Initial contact(s) with a coach - one
typed page This section describes your initial contact(s) with a
coach, where you form a working relationship and a conversational
context with the coach, in order to collaborate with him/her in
removing obstacles to coaching the team. If possible, you must also
spend some time observing the coach in action (i.e. coaching the
team). Please be careful to consider ethical guidelines in reporting
on your project. This section includes the following: ▪ background
, information about the coach ▪ a description of the contacts - where,
when, and so on Downloaded by Corona Virus () lOMoARcPSD| ▪
your impression of the coach’s reaction to the meeting ▪ an “intake
summary” ▪ identified areas for intervention and justification for this
