1. Peter is building an expansion adjacent to his house. Because he wants to use it as an office the room will be
heated with use of the central heating. The flat roof of the expansion will be made with sawn timber beams with
dimension 38 x 184 mm, strength class C18 and is loaded with an equally distributed load (see picture).
The center to center distance is 600 mm. There is no gravel used on top of the roofing.
The load duration class of the variable load is: ‘medium-long’.
