Does a vehicle need a muffler to pass inspection? - Yes. In good working order and constant
operation. With no patches or repairs to the muffler.



Does the vehicle fail if the tires are worn to the tread wear indicators? - Only if they contact the
pavement in two adjacent grooves in center or middle of the tire. Otherwise, tires must be manually
measured and be less than 2/32nds to fail.



How do you know if the Customer has a medical exemption for window tint? - The physicians
written medical statement must be presented for inspection and carried in the vehicle at all times.



How far must high beams reach? - High beams must illuminate at least 450ft ahead, 300ft for
motorcycles. Low beams must do 150ft



How far should the Tail Lamps be visible for? - 1000ft



How high do the red rear reflectors need to be mounted? - 15 to 60 inches from the ground, or as
high as possible.
