Inleiding
Het Nikki-principe
Positieve psychologie is een recent ontwikkelde psychologie, eind jaren 90, die nog niet zolang
meegaat.
Voorloper: William Grant study (1937)
Martin Seligman is de grondlegger van de positieve psychologie en de uitvinder van het Nikki-
principe.
Het Nikki-principe: houdt in dat er in de psychologie eigenlijk evenveel aandacht zou moeten
gaan naar wat de mens gelukkig maakt i.p.v. alleen maar wat de mens ongelukkig maakt.
Ontstaan: door zijn kind Nikki -> kwam tot inzicht dat je in het opvoeden moet benoemen en
stimuleren wat je kind goed kan i.p.v. nadruk leggen op de zwakke kanten.
