How does the iris control the amount of light entering the eye? CH2
The iris contracts and relaxes the pupil in response to the intensity of the light coming into the eye. The
iris contracts in response to intense light, reducing the amount of light that enters the eye. The iris
relaxes in dim light, allowing for more light to enter the eye.
What is accommodation? How does the lens accommodate (change) in order to focus on objects at
different distances from the eye? CH2
Accommodation is when the lens changes shape so that the eye is able to focus on different objects.
