• Via 5 coënzymen: TPP → lipoamide → HS-CoA → FAD → NAD+

1. OXIDATIEVE DECARBOXYLATIE VIA E1
• Coënzyme TPP
• acetyl + 2 e•-transfer via OH*-ethyl-TPP,
afsplitsingCO2
• H+ tijdelijk gebonden

2. REDOX REACTIE VIA E1
• doel= recyclage TPP van E1 door oxidatie
• reductie via H- van coënzyme lipoamide van E2
• acetyl-transfer via acetyl-dihydrolipoamide


3. TRANSFER REACTIE VIA E2
• acetyl-groep van dihydrolipoamide naar HS-CoA




4. REDOX REACTIE VIA E3
• doel= recyclage lipoamide
• FAD + dihydro-lipoamide => lipoamide+ FADH2
