a alguien, un servicio.
I’m having / getting my hair dyed.
They had their roof repaired yesterday.
Bob will get his car washed tomorrow morning.
La estructura tiene un sentido pasivo, ya que es el complemento directo el que recibe la acción
del verbo en participio. Sin embargo, se suele traducir en voz activa.
Aunque ambos se usan indistintamente, get es más informal y común.
o EL GERUNDIO Y EL INFINITIVO
GERUNDS
La forma terminada en -ING. Funciona como sustantivo en los siguientes casos:
- Como complemento directo de algunos verbos: avoid, enjoy, consider, detest, dislike,
enjoy, finish, dislike, miss, recommend, suggest.
- Detrás de preposiciones.
- Detrás de algunas estructuras: be used to, get used to, be worth, can’t help, can’t
stand, don’t mind, look forward to, see myself.
- Como sujeto de la oración cuando se habla de acciones o hechos.
INFINITIVES
Es la forma to + verb y se emplea en estos casos:
- Detrás de algunos adjetivos y adverbios (early to go).
En algunos casos, los verbos pueden ir en con gerundio o infinitivo indistintamente.
- Puede cambiar el significado (stop, forget, remember, regret).
- Puede no importar al no cambiar el significado (like).
