Abolishing MO - makes a consequence less effective as a punisher, decrease in value of punisher,
increase in behavior that have produced that punisher
- Punishment: satiation
+ punishment: deprivation
Contingent Application of an Aversive Stimulus - anytime you do the behavior, an aversive
stimulus is applied
Unconditioned Punisher - punishing without prior experience, biologically punishing
Conditioned Punisher - condition with a neutral stimulus to be punishing by pairing it with an
unconditioned or already conditioned punisher
Type 1 Positive Punishment - presenting an aversive stimulus which results in weakening the
behavior in the future
Restitutional Overcorrection - restore the environment to a better state than it was in before.
Positive Practice Overcorrection - practice the alternative response repeatedly
Contingent Exercise - do an exercise contingent on the behavior, not necessarily similar to the
problem behavior
Type 2 Negative Punishment - removing a reinforcing stimulus which results in decreasing the
future occurrence of the behavior
