I think that cultured beef is going to be more viable then traditional meat. I know it is

very expensive and sort of a strange ethical problem for most. I agree that there is a sort of weird

ick factor that I am struggling with as well. I think that if you can get past that and look at the

situation, we are in with climate change it is easy to see that we are in a position that we will

have to change the way we have been doing things or we will have much larger problems than

eating lab grown meat.

Carbon emissions are very high, and temperatures are warming up to a dangerous level.

There are alternatives to cut back on global climate change and reduce carbon emissions

(HannaL.Tuomisto). We need to adopt the changes if we don’t, we may have catastrophic results

very soon. With population on our earth growing at a rate that is not sustainable and all the

resources spreading thinner every day it is time to think outside the box and get on board with

some environmentally safe alternatives that either impact ecosystems and environmental factors

less substantially less or not at all.

It is grown from animal cells and has almost the same structure as cow meat. It is made

from the same materials as cow meat. The tissues are not identical to a living animal, but it is

technically meat (Chriki Sghaier, 2020). In June of 2023 USDA approved the sale of lab-grown

meat to sale to the public (USDA, 2023). There are chicken companies that are currently selling

lab chicken products. I think if they can work out a better price for the growth media it may be a

better alternative at this point (Chriki Sghaier, 2020). I do think that it should be heavily
