Guidelines or
Recommendations A child who is exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke in a closed room
could be compared to having inhaled the toxins as if that child has smoked
ten cigarettes, it is a fact that children breathing is faster than adults and this
makes children more prone to inhaling higher amounts of toxins into lungs
that are developing resulting in increased respiratory infection s and other
conditions such as SIDS, asthma, pneumonia and ear infections.
