What is social media:
Social media’s are platforms used by people/business
to share ideas, information though text and photos. A
business can use social media to spread brand
awareness to reach out to larger audiences to grow
their businesses customers and overall sales. Social
media differs from standard websites in a way that
websites allow users to look and interact with things to
do with a business where as social media allows users
to post and share content with others. This can be used
by business to share new products, ideas they may
have and funny content. There are many types of social
media such as instagram, snapchat, facebook, youtube
and telegram which allows people and business to post,
react and comment on whatever they want.




Social media allows user and business to share ideas through text and images, It
allows business to spread brand awareness to be able to reach out to a wider
audience allowing them to achieve more sales. Social media is different from normal
websites and it allows business to post and for customers to react with comments.
There are many types of social medias that a business can use such as instagram,
facebook and youtube.

Advantages:
-It allows users to comment and give ideas to business that
they may not think of.
-Business can post whatever they want, wherever on any
platform.
-It allows business to reach out to people that may not see
their business in other places.
-Business can post promotions for their customers to see.

Disadvantages:
-Cyberbullying is an issue as people are able to comment
anything.
-Social media is usually more used by the younger
generation and not as much by older people.
-The business may be hacked and wrong information could
be posted.




Here are the advantages and disadvantages of social media and how they an affect a
business. It allows users to comment which allows businesses to build of ideas and
expand in response to feedback. Therefore business are also able to want whatever
they please on the platform for advertisements and much more. Promotions are also
really big on social media and help a business grow and expand their customer base.
However some disadvantages are that a business may encounter cyberbullying in
their comments towards the business or other customers, It is also mainly used by the
younger generation instead of the older generations and finally, a business can easily
be hacked if they do not take extra safety precautions when securing their accounts.
