How important is vision in business? Vision in business is important becuase it brings everyone
together, it is unifying and inspiring. A clear vision of the business helps people feel that they
are contributing to something that is actually beneficial and they are motivated through this
reason. When a business has no vision, no one will see scope in working there and they will
slowly lose motivation. Explain the role of vision in the case of Rogers communication. Ted
Rogers had a vision that was difficult for others to ignore, Rogers made it obvious that this
interest in the field would lead him somewhere in the future. People saw this and also started
contributing to the same vision. Everything Rogers did had a purpose behind it and he was
willing to go through that purpose to make his vision come true. Rogers also adapted his work to
the evolving world; he made radios that could work with current from the house so that everyone
had access to the radio. He also entered the wireless phone market after seeing the evolving
world and seeing its potential. Rogers' interest also made him become interested in many fields
such as broadcasting, cable television and more; this would make it easy for people to see that
Rogers had a vision for this business. His willingness to learn always led him to bigger
adventures in which he has also found success. People saw Rogers' vision and also got motivated
to do the same thing as him.

Using examples from the case study, describe how Rogers Communication has remained current
and up to date with the latest technology. In 1925, Rogers, Sr. invented the world’s first
alternating current (AC) radio tube, which enabled radios to be powered by ordinary household
current. This would be so much more convenient for people to use than regular TV where they
have to sit down and watch the whole episode, with a radio you can take it around with you and
multitask. Innovation continues today with Rogers cable being a North American leader in the
development and deployment of high-speed Internet service as well as digital television, we use
internet everyday and some people use TV too so development of this service was great.Today
that company, now called Rogers Wireless, is the largest - and fastest growing - wireless service
provider in Canada. This service is definitely the best innovation they have done, we use wireless
phones everyday and life without it would be impossible. Dealing with wires everyday is also a
big struggle. He also made high speed internet connection to the house, text messaging and
email. We use these features everyday now.

Research the background to "the most expensive mistake" Rogers ever made. Provide a brief
(1-2 paragraph) description of the details of that business venture. Roger bought a part of the
CNCP telecommunications which he later named Unitel. This business was launched to compete
with Bell Canada in a phone business which required long distance. There were disagreements
among the partners, when United was structured againRogers left it, leaving the $500 million
dollars Rogers had invested for Unitel (Poulin, 2022)1.
