HC 16&17; Membraan Transport; blz. Hoofdstuk 12Er is een verdeling van ionen binnen en buiten de cel. Bv Na veel buiten de cel maar weinig in
de cel. Weten welke concentraties er ongeveer van de ionen in- en buiten de cel zitten.
Mate van diffusie wordt bepaald door:
- Grootte van het molecuul
- Lading van het molecuul
- Polariteit van het molecuul (hydrofoob/hydrofiel).
Een apolaire (hydrofobe) stof kan makkelijk door de lipidelaag heen.
Er zijn kanalen en transporters nodig om stoffen door te laten die belangrijk zijn maar niet
apolair/hydrofoob zijn.
De poorten zijn eiwitten en in de vorm van alfa helixen (zie foto). Groen stukken hydrofoob,
rode stukje hydrofiel. De zijketens (rood) moeten hydrofiel zijn. Buitenkant hydrofoob,
binnenkant hydrofiel.

- Als het kanaal open is dan stroomt een ion erdoorheen met de gradiënt mee.
- Kan geen actief transport zijn.
- Ontstaat geen conformatieverandering.
Transporterr:
- Kan alleen actief doorheen
- Ondergaat conformatie verandering tijdens het transport.
- Stofje wat door het membraan heen gaat heeft een bepaalde binding site.
Trechter is specifiek bij een kanaal voor een bepaald ion of stofje.
Er kan een concentratie gradient over het memrbaan staan. Als de
Passief transport kan gaan via kanalen of via transporters genaamd diffusie. Het heet geen
diffusie als het door middel van een eiwit gebeurt.
