Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) - ANS NECC: Serves as the single
functional command to centrally manage current and future readiness, resources, manning,
training and equipping of the United States Navy's 21,000 expeditionary forces who are
currently serving in every theater of operation. NECC components offer functions such as
command and control of expeditionary warfare operations, training, maritime and port security,
logistics support, construction, littoral and coastal warfare and patrol, coastal riverine warfare,
explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), expeditionary diving and combat salvage, and combat
photography.

Coastal Riverine Force (CRF)

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) - ANS CRF: The Navy's Riverine force focuses on
conducting Maritime Security Operations and Theater Security Cooperation in a riverine area of
operations or other suitable area. The force is capable of combating enemy riverine forces by
applying fires directly, or by coordinating supporting fires.

EOD: EOD Technicians are on call to respond to any type of ordnance, and they receive
specialized training on how to handle chemical, biological and even nuclear weapons. They
investigate and demolish natural and man-made underwater obstructions. Prepare coastal
regions for amphibious landings. Warn about potential threats - both in the United States and
abroad. With expertise in the most conventional and unconventional explosives, they ensure the
secure disposal of explosive weaponry.

Combat Command, provides tactical force protection/indications and warning intelligence

environments - from blue to green water, the coastal littoral, and far inland - that are constrained
by more traditional ISR assets. NEIC capabilities give expeditionary, maritime, joint and
combined forces timely, relevant and actionable intelligence to deny the enemy sanctuary,
freedom of movement, and use of waterborne lines of communication while enabling friendly
forces to find, fix, and destroy the enemy within the operational environment.
