Dr Martin Luther King and Alicia Garza both provide a detailed history of how

racial injustice in America has affected so many black American lives in the past and the present.

Dr. Martin Luther King “I have a dream is a speech” was delivered in front of over 250,000

attendees including civil right supporters at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. He

expressed that the country needs to be held accountable to own up to the promise of freedom,

justice, and equality as stated in the signed Emancipation Proclamation (Washington D.C 2017).

percentage of black occupants compared to other races. Alicia forces the public to hear the ugly

speaks about how domestic work is still populated mainly by black woman who are under paid,
