Midwife: A person, typically a woman, who is trained to assist women in
childbirth.



Obstetrics: The field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth, and
the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with
gynaecology under the discipline called obstetrics and gynaecology, which is
surgical.

pregnancy, labor , and puerperium

Pregnancy: The state of carrying a foetus inside the uterus by a woman
from conception to birth.



Gestation: Means pregnancy.
