vragen:
1. Wat betekent de afkorting CRP?
C-reactief proteïne. Het is een zogenaamde acutefase-eiwit en daarmee onderdeel van het
afweersysteem, het wordt gemaakt door de lever en afgegeven aan de bloedbaan.
2. Wat is het doel van een CRP onderzoek?
CRP is waardevol voor het vaststellen van een al dan niet aanwezige ontsteking (zoals bij
verdenking van een appendicitis of pneumonie). De toename van CRP wordt vaak zelfs al gezien
voordat de patiënt klachten of symptomen heeft.
3. Wat meet de test in het lichaam?
Het gehalte C-reactief proteïne in het bloed.
4. Wanneer wordt er een CRP bepaling gedaan? (Op grond van welke indicatie?)
Verdenking van een ontsteking.
5. Wanneer is de waarde van CRP verhoogd?
Na een ontsteking kan de hoeveelheid CRP in het lichaam snel toenemen tot max. circa 500
mg/l.
6. Wat kan een foutbron zijn bij CRP onderzoek? (Zie MTH boek)
Bij mensen met een verminderde weerstand is de CRP minder betrouwbaar.
