Criminologie les 4:Psychologische verklaringen van criminaliteit:

Wat is psychopathie
, 4 facetten: interpersoonlijk, affectief, levensstijl en
antisociaal
Persoonlijkheidsstoornissen (schizofrenie, borderline, …)
geïnventariseerd in DSM-V
MAAR: psychopathie is daarin niet te vinden (enkel
antisociale persoonlijkheidsstoornis)
Vanuit wetenschappelijk onderzoek (oa. Hare, 2003)
werd hiervoor eigen diagnostisch instrument ontwikkeld:
Psychopathy Checklist-Revised of PCL-R
→ Twintig items op driepuntenschaal:
o 0: kenmerk is niet van toepassing
o 1: kenmerk is in enige mate van
toepassing
o 2: kenmerk is duidelijk aanwezig bij de
persoon
→ Leidt tot volgende scores:
o 0-20: lage mate van psychopathie
o 21-30: enige mate van psychopathie
(score van 30 is cutoff)
o 31-40: hoge mate van psychopathie (=
prototypische persoonlijkheidsprofiel
psychopaat)
Psychopathie is (net als andere persoonlijkheidsstoornissen)
niet categorisch, maar dimensionaal te benaderen.
Onderzoek wijst op prevalentie van 1-5%
20 items zijn in twee factoren ondergebracht die elk 2 facetten
bevatten:
1) interpersoonlijke en affectieve factor
2) antisociale levensstijl factor
- MAAR: De psychopaat bestaat niet; veel
variatie in psychopathische profielen terug te
vinden (niet allemaal kille sadisten)
- Afname (en vooral interpretatie) vraagt
gedegen opleiding in psychopathologie, statistiek
en psychometrie en uitgebreide analyse
(vragenlijst op zich volstaat absoluut niet)
