Información genética ADN —------– ARNm
Los centros promotores indican al ARN polimerasa cuando iniciar la transcripción, ya que este se
une a los promotores y empieza a desenrollar el ADN rompiendo los puentes de H.
ARN polimerasa se desplaza de 3´a 5´en la hebra molde (ADN), para incorporar nucleótidos con
bases complementarias a la cadena de ARNm. T sustituida por U.
Empieza a construir la cadena de ARN de 5´a 3 ́.
Cuando hay suficientes nucleótidos, la ARN polimerasa se libera y sigue ensamblando en otra parte
de la hebra molde, detrás de esta los nucleótidos se vuelven a unir.
Se copian regiones que codifican a proteínas: exones, y otras que no codifican: intrones. Antes de
abandonar el citoplasma, mediante corte y empalme, se eliminan los exones y se unen los intrones,
dejando un ARNm maduro.

Traducción – Citoplasma – RIBOSOMA
Cada triplete de nucleótidos consecutivos (codón) especifica un aminoácido o señal de stop.
El ARNm se ubica en las subunidades del
ribosoma y según la secuencia de codones, le
indica al ARNt que aminoácido buscar. El
ARNt en un extremo coincide con el ARNm (se
unen) y en el otro lleva el aa, el cual al mismo
tiempo se va uniendo con el siguiente aa
(formando una cadena polipetida), al ocurrir
esto, el ARNt se libera y se puede usar en
otras síntesis con el mismo aa. Al llegar al
Stop, la cadena de aa y el ribosoma se separan, la cadena de aa se pliega formando la proteína.
