1. Vascularisatie (doorbloeding van de hersenen)
• Hersenen hebben constant zuurstof nodig
• Een onderbreking van de bloedstoom

• Vanuit aortaboog -> rechter kant -> Arteria branchocefalica -> Arteria subclavia (onder
sleutelbeen) -> splitst in 2
o Arteria carotis communis

▪ Niet belangrijk voor de bevloeiing van de hersenen
▪ Bevloeiing aangezichtsspieren
- A. cartoris interna
▪ Belangrijk met bevloeiing hersenen Zorgen voor

- Kruipt omhoog in de foramen van de cervicale wervels (nekwervels) hersenen
1.2 Cirkel van willis
• Arteria vertibralis en arteria cartoris interna stijgen op in de hersenen en komen toe op de
cirkel van willis
o Arteria vertibralis (L en R) vloeien samen en worden de arteria basilaris
• Een bloedvat die de vorm heeft van een cirkel
• Functie
o Zorgt dat wanneer je een obstuctie hebt aan 1 kant, dan kan de andere kant toch nog
bloed krijgen, doordat de cirkel in tegengestelde richting doorloopt -> zo toch nog
bloed aan kant van obstuctie.

• Middelste hersenslagaders

o Partiële kwab
o Temporale kwab
o Hypothalamus (regulatie lichaamstemp, dorstgevoel,…)
o Hypofyse (onder hypothalamus, afscheiding hormonen)
o Basale keren (belangrijk voor motoriek)
3. Cerebrovasculaire aandoeningen (CVA)
• Aandoeningen wanneer een schorsgebied aangetast is.
• 80% : herseninfarcten (tombose) = ischemisch CVA (bloedklonter in het bloedvat)
• 20% : hersenbloedingen = hemorragisch CVA (bloedvat gerubtureerd)
