-allergy, hypersensitity, anaphylaxis, possible IM
cross-sensitivity to penicillin -bleeding tendencies from IV
cefotetan and ceftriaxone -thrombophlebitis with IV
infusion -renal insufficiency
Contraindications/Precautions
Do not give to clients who have history of severe allergic
reactions to penicillins or cephalosporins -caution with
clients who have renal impairment or bleeding tendencies Nursing Interventions

-Disulfiram reaction (intolerance to alcohol) occurs with
