NATOPS manuals are issued by the authority of the Chief of Naval Operations and
under the direction of the Commander, Naval Air Systems Command in conjunction with
the Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures
Standardization (NATOPS) program.
NATOPS products provide the best available T/M/S aircraft information and operating
instructions for most circumstances.
However, no manual can cover every situation or be a substitute for sound judgment;
operational situations may require modification of the procedures contained therein.

3. Other maneuvers requiring Pitch/Dive Angle > 45°, AOB > 60°, or accelerations > 2 Gs
4. A maneuver that conforms to the model NATOPS manual is not considered aerobatic flight
