This report will look at the roles and skills of an event organiser. An event organiser is an
individual responsible for planning, managing, and executing events to ensure a successful
and enjoyable experience for clients. Their role involves overseeing all aspects of an event,
from initial planning to the final plan, ensuring it aligns with their client expectations. Event
organisers are important as they plan and coordinate all aspects of an event, ensuring the
event is excellent from start to finish. They are also important in the overall efficiency of an
event by managing resources effectively, making it a positive experience for both guests and
clients. However, an event can happen without an event organizer, but the success and
safety of the event may be affected. Events, whether large or small, typically need careful
planning and organization to ensure a good experience.

could be from a function to a wedding that is planned by somebody or a team of people.
However, an event organiser is the main person involved in this event, they usually run and
plan the event. They are also there to ensure that the event runs nicely, and any problems
will be followed up with the event organiser.
There are many different roles and skills required to be an effective event organiser and to
be able to ensure that your event runs nicely. I will now discuss about the responsibilities
needed for an event's organiser.

Financial Management - One of the most important jobs of an event director is to carefully
plan the money that will be needed. They need to keep a close eye on their spending to
avoid going over budget and getting nasty financial shocks. A well-thought-out budget is like
a plan; it shows exactly how resources will be distributed so that every part of the event has
enough money. When planners make budgets correctly, they can set goals that are
attainable within the limits of their budget. It also lets them spend money on better
services, amenities, and fun, all of which can directly lead to happier customers and a more
memorable event experience.

Location Selection - One of the most important things for an event planner to do is pick the
right site. The theme, size, and goal of the event must all be considered when choosing the

,venue. For instance, a big international business meeting would need a large hall or
convention centre with lots of seats for all the people who are expected to attend. It's also
