De student kan de stappen van het verwerken van kwalitatieve data benoemen.
Kwalitatief onderzoek is te beschouwen als een verzamelnaam voor verschillende stromingen en
tradities van onderzoek waarbij het doel is inzicht te geven in de sociale wereld, in dit geval de
gezondheidszorg, zoals die zich aan ons voordoet.
Kenmerken kwalitatief onderzoek:
- nadruk op betekenissen, ervaringen en gezichtspunten van alle betrokkenen
- Systematische verzameling, organisatie, en interpretatie van tekstueel materiaal
- Ontwikkeling van concepten die helpen sociale verschijnselen te begrijpen in hun natuurlijke
context
Kwantitatief onderzoek cijfermatig.
Kwalitatief onderzoek ervaringen en belevingen van mensen.
De student kan kwalitatieve gegevens (data uit interviews) op systematische wijze
verwerken.
Aanvullend ter ondersteuning van de integrale toets:
De student heeft kennis van verschillende interviewtechnieken die toegepast kunnen worden
tijdens een semigestructureerd interview met een individuele zorgvrager.
Verschillende typen interviews:
o (open) interviews, ook wel diepte-interviews genoemd.
o Semigestructureerde interviews
o Gestructureerde interviews
Deductieve benadering:
o Top-down.
o Van algemeen naar het specifieke.
o (vaak) aan de orde bij beta-wetenschappen waar strikt/krachtig bewijs vereist is.
Inductieve benadering:

o Van specifiek naar het algemene.
o (vaak) aan de orde bij sociaal wetenschappelijk onderzoek waar men beoogd inzicht
