Articulatio talocruralis
Enkelgewricht of bovenste sprongewricht is een scharniergewricht
Gewrichtvlakken van de talus articuleren in de malleolaire vork. Het
gewrichtsvlak zit vast aan de kraakbenige omranding van de
gewrichtvlakken met enkele synoviale plooien.

Tussen de zeven voetwortelbeenderen bestaan verschillende gewrichten die de beweeglijkheid

Sprongewricht bestaat uit 2 delen:
- art. subtalaris (achterste deel van de talus)
- art. talocalcaneonavicularis (voorste deel van de talus)

Voetzool steunt op 3 punten
- tuber calcanei
- caput van metatarsaal I en V
twee bogen worden gevormd
o arcus pedis longitudinales
o arcus pedis transversa
wordt vooral ligamentair onderstreund, passieve structuur
o lig. Calcaneonaviculare plantare = spring ligament -> verloopt van
dorsaal van de voet van het sustentaculum tali naar
naviculare, bedekt met dikke laag kraakbeen
o lig. Plantare longum -> brede band die van tuber calcanei ontspringt, naar het
cuboid en distaal uitstraalt naar de metatarsalen
o aponeurosis plantaris = ondersteunt beide bogen -> stevig peesblad dat beide bogen
ondersteunt
Ook spieren vormen een belangrijke ondersteuning -> regelen de drukverdeling. Vooral de korte
voetspieren en pezen van de lange spieren zijn hier van belang.
