Pluriforme samenleving = samenleving met veel verschillende levensstijl,
godsdienst en cultuurkenmerken (veel verschillende groepen)
Cultuur = alle normen, waarden, gewoontes, kenmerken die een groep gemeen
heeft.
Cultuurkenmerken = gewoonte, waarden, normen.
Socialisatiefunctie = je persoonlijkheid en gevoelens worden gedeeltelijk bepaal
door cultuur.
Gemeenschappelijk referentiekader = mensen in cultuur begrijpen elkaar beter
omdat ze dingen met elkaar gemeen hebben.
Gedragsregulerend = cultuur stuurt het gedrag van mensen. Saamhorigheid
Dominante cultuur = cultuurkenmerken die de meerderheid v een bevolking deelt
met elkaar
Subcultuur = een groep binnen dominante cultuur die licht afwijkt. (etnische
subcultuur als mensen met zelfde land zich verbonden voelen binnen dominante
cultuur.)
Culturele diversiteit = er zijn veel subculturen
Maatschappelijke positie = word bepaald door: opleiding, afgrond, cv en
kennissen.
Gender = culturele verschillen tussen mannen en vrouwen.
Rolpatronen = alg. opvatting over hoe iemand zich moet gedragen.
Allochtoon = migratieachtergrond
Tegencultuur = verzetten tegen dominante cultuur
Sociale cohesie = mensen voelen zich verbonden met elkaar.
4.2 Cultuur en identiteit
Socialisatie = proces waarbij iemand (on)bewust cultuurkenmerken overneemt.

Socialiserende instituties = organisaties die normen, waarden en gewoontes
overdragen.
