What is leadership like for an acute rural hospital? I would like to personally share my
experience as an employee for the past three years. I have encountered some great leadership
during my employment from direct leadership. Unfortunately, I have seen some bad leadership
within the administrative side of the hospital. Munson Health care is a large corporation who
bought four other hospitals and combined them under one “system”. During the purchases of

their vision statement states: “Working together, we will be the first choice for care within the
communities we serve. Once again reading the vision statement, the organization is focused on
excellent healthcare and teamwork to provide the best services in the area.
