first assessment was the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence-2nd Edition (WASI-
2), which was used to measure your cognitive/intellectual functioning. This assessment
was developed to screen for intellectual disabilities or intellectual giftedness. Do you
understand what that means? Ok, great. According to this assessment, Bob, your overall
full IQ score is 94. This IQ score measures your cognitive processes. Do you know what
cognitive processes are, Bob? Cognitive processes are your memory, judgment,
perception, and reasoning. According to this assessment, your strengths are verbal
comprehension and your perceptual reasoning index. Your scores fell within the average
range when compared to your peers your same age. Your verbal comprehension is the
ability to interpret and apply words in instructions and directions and verbally
communicate ideas through words. (Vanguard Gifted Academy, 2020) The perceptual
reasoning index reflects on your ability to accurately interpret, organize, and think with
visual information. What this means is your ability to use the information you receive
through your senses, such as what you see and how quickly you understand it.
