proposal is to analyze and evaluate organizational strategies to assure that they are aligning with

the company’s mission and goals. The summary will provide an analysis of the company’s

internal and external environments which will allow for more accuracy when targeting and

achieving future growth. Recommendations have also been made based on the analysis, and they

can assist when assessing the trajectory of the business.

When analyzing and outlining the internal business environment, one can see that the

company has grown tremendously through the years. Comcast has become the leader in the cable

television and internet space, while continuing to compile additional services that all run off one

proprietary platform. Continuing to add to the platform via external mergers, as well as

organically continuing to develop products will surely increase revenue. The single-platform

model allows customers to easily add services when creating the bundle that best suits their

lifestyle. Additional areas within the internal environment which were analyzed were the

acquisitions/mergers, short term goals, products & services, and customer base. The results of

this analysis confirmed that the national footprint of the company is vast, and there will be

additional opportunities to expand internationally as the portfolio continues to grow.

The external analysis surrounded around the organizations’ competitive environment,

and the opportunities within the industry that can equate to growth from a revenue and

marketshare perspective. When looking at the competitive landscape, it was apparent that
