Miao et al. (2024) assert that the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher
education worldwide has sparked considerable debate among researchers. While
some argue that AI introduces significant advancements and efficiencies in
educational practices, others contend that it poses substantial challenges that could
undermine the learning experience.

QUESTION 1

ANSWERS

I believe that Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be used in teaching and learning at
colleges and universities. Although some people worry about AI, I think the good things
about it are more important. AI can help learners/students learn better, make teaching
easier for teachers, and support new research. Let me explain why integrating AI in
education is a great idea.

First, I would consent with AI helping learners/ students learn in a way that is just right
for them. Each student has their own learning style and pace. Some students need
more time to understand a topic, while others may already know it well. AI can look at
how each student is doing in their classes and change the lessons to fit their needs.
According to Miao et al. (2024), AI can help create special learning paths for each
student. This means that if a student needs extra help with a subject, AI can provide
that support. For example, if a student struggles with math, AI can give them extra
practice problems to help them improve. On the other hand, if another student is ready
to move on, they can skip ahead to more challenging material. This makes learning
better because students can work at their own pace and feel more confident in their
abilities.
