Why don't we advertise? ANS We market are business through are crew & food.
Five Guys believes advertising is a crutch used to sell inferior product.
Great food and a fired up crew will cause others to talk about us giving great exposure & word of
mouth than could be purchased through advertising.



Why do we use two patties instead of one large one? ANS Not only is it simpler for the crew, it
also allows more consistency of execution on a single patty size.
Larger patties take longer to cook, and could slow service.



Why do we put two slices of cheese between the patties on every cheeseburger? ANS Placing the
cheese between the patties melts the cheese and provides the best flavor and consistency.
It minimizes the amount of cheese that has to be directly melted on the grill.



Why do we split hot dogs & spread them longwise on the grill. ANS Splitting hot dogs allows the
