from that distance. In other words, what is the (true) proportion of the time he makes a putt from that distance.
Consider a sample of 120 putts that Jordan attempted between ten and fifteen feet from the hole during the
2020 PGA Tour season. Assume that the sample was randomly taken
from “all possible putts” he could attempt from that distance.
1. The population we can imagine is “all possible putts” that Jordan could attempt between 10 - 15 away
from the hole. Every time he would ever putt from that distance, he can either make the putt or not.
