introduction
This report means to inform on two mental health conditions of my choosing; for the purpous
of this report I have chosen bluminia, which is a eating disorder, and depression. I will recall
the impact of having the above diagnosis on a person holistically as well as the factors that
infulance there mental health and wellbeing, pull apart a classification and the effect it has
on the conditions.
My first mental health condition I have chosen to include is Bulimia nervosa. In accordance
to the ISD10 (ICD-10, 2016) blumina is “when a indivial exessesively over eats in an
attempt to control there body size in order to lose weight.” Various symptoms of this as found
on (PAITENT CARE, 2019) include over eating in a short time, being sick often from
laxatives, being pale, irregular heart beat and being easily tied. Feeling anxious and
withdrawn from society.
Depression as backed up by the ISD-10 comes in a spectrum with range of serverties,
regular episodes ect. I have chosen for this report to base it off of Severe depressive
episode without psychotic symptoms. (ICD-10, 2016) this is summed up as “episodes of
depression which at lest seven of the symptoms are present. “ Symptoms reported are loss
of self extreme, feeling worthless, cutting and attempts of suiside, starvation or loss of
appitaite. Sadness and feeling withdrawn and isolated
As I have mentioned above these two mental health concerns are cited by the ICD-10. The
ICD-10 stands for international statistical classification of diseases and is a classification
system produced by WHO. The official definition as spoken by (ICD-10, 2019:ICD
Information Sheet)
Is a diagnosis tool used to diagnosis symptoms of mental health.
● P1 Factors that infulance mental health and mental wellbeing
what is mental health and mental wellbeing. According to WHO (ICD-10, 2019:ICD
Information Sheet) mental health is defined as “ a state of wellbeing where a individual
knows his protentional, can cope with every day stress” there is lot of misconception
between mental health and mental wellbeing. An individual will go through life at different
perspectives of the spectrum( e.g. Ranging between continuum and mental wellbeing) but
not actually be suffering from a mental illness. There are numerous factors that may
infulance an indivial with mental illness which are going to be dictated throughout this sector
of the report.
Depression
● Environment factors and social ecomic
Envoimental factors are defined as a” environment such as safe water and clean air, and
safe house and communities” these can massively impact a person with depression.
(GOV.UK, 2019:Overview) Depression and envoimental factors are a correclation that can't
