Literary terms and poetic devices- assonance : Is the repetition of the same vowel sound in words that are
close together.
- e.g. = ‘’The cat sat on the mat’’
● Het herhalen van dezelfde klinkerklank in dicht bij elkaar liggende
woorden. Dit draagt bij aan het ritme en de muzikale kwaliteit van de
tekst.

- alliteration :Is when the same sound or letter is repeated at the start of
words that are close together.
e.g. = ‘’She sells sea shells by the sea shore or Peter piper picked a pech
of pickled peppers'’
● Het herhalen van dezelfde klank aan het begin van woorden die
dicht bij elkaar staan. Het creëert ritme en kan de aandacht van
de lezer trekken.
