MENINGITIS- ARGENTESINDROME MENÍNGEO
Implica la existencia de un trastorno irritativo
de las leptomeninges y de las porciones del
tejido nervioso adyacente a ellas.
Puede concebirse como integrado por tres
elementos:
-Un sme de hipertensión endocraneana de
intensidad variable
-Alteraciones del líquido cefalorraquídeo (LCR)
-Manifestaciones dependientes de las
estructuras del SN o de su compresión por la
presencia de exudados.
*Etiología:
INFLAMATORIAS:
BACTERIAS: S. Pneumoniae, N. meningitidis, Listeria, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Bacilos G-, Anaerobios,
Micobacterias o Espiroquetas.
VIRUS: Enterovirus, Herpesvirus.
MICÓTICAS: Cryptococcus, Coccidioides, Candida o Cysticercus.
NO INFLAMATORIAS:
HEMORRAGICAS: por sangrados cerebromeníngeos debido hipertensión arterial, ruptura de aneurismas,
diástesis hemorrágicas o traumatismos craneoencefálico
NEOPLÁSICAS: debido a tumores y siembras meníngeas carcinomatosas.
*MANIFESTACIONES CLÍNICAS
Las dos manifestaciones más importantes en el examen de un paciente con síndrome meníngeo son la
1º Cefalea- intensa y
persistente, pero no
aguda
El paciente puede

expresar el dolor con
gritos
TRIAD
Predomina en la región A
frontooccipital
Deterioro
Acompañada de fotofobia Rigidez
