RESUMEN BIOLOGÍA - TEMA 2: LA ACTIVIDAD INTERNA Y ELRELIEVE:
1. RELIEVE:
Es el conjunto de accidentes geográficos de la corteza terrestre (montañas, laderas, valles, llanuras o
mesetas). El relieve (originado por procesos geológicos internos y externos) y vegetación forman el
paisaje.
1.1. PROCESOS GEOLÓGICOS INTERNOS:
Crean el relieve y suceden debido a la dinámica interna de la Tierra:
- Magmatismo: expulsión de magma y solidificación (formación de rocas ígneas).
- Metamorfismo: transformación de las rocas ígneas y sedimentarias en rocas metamórficas,
cambiando su composición química o estructura (por aumento de la presión y la
temperatura). Ej: de pizarra a lutita, de mármol a caliza.
- Orogénesis: formación de las cordilleras.
Es decir, las rocas ígneas son las que se forman por el enfriamiento del magma (granitos, basaltos,
obsidiana, pumita).
1.2. PROCESOS GEOLÓGICOS EXTERNOS:
Modelan el relieve. Son:
- Meteorización de la roca: romper la roca en fragmentos más pequeños sin alterar la
composición química.
- La erosión: rotura y desgaste de la roca por agentes geológicos (viento, agua, etc).
- Transporte de los fragmentos erosionados.
- Sedimentación: depósito de los fragmentos erosionados, y tras miles de años se transforman
en rocas sedimentarias, gracias a la diagénesis.
2. DEFORMACIÓN DE ROCAS:
Las rocas se fracturan y deforman por 3 tipos de fuerzas:
- Tracción o distensión: fuerzas opuestas y divergentes con las que estiramos algo.
- Compresión: fuerzas opuestas y convergentes con la que comprimimos o aplastamos algo.
- Cizalla: fuerzas paralelas (divergentes o convergentes) como romper un papel.
