Medical Condition Correct Ans-Any medical condition worsened by light e.g., lupus Type 1
diabetes is safe to treat if the diabetes 1. doesn't affect the skins' ability to heal 2. the clients
sensation to hot and cold 3. GP letter needed Epilepsy - safe to treat only if client is seizure free
minimum 12 months blackout goggles must be worn Pregnant/Breastfeeding/TTC-
contraindicated • Cancer • Pacemaker • Medicated autoimmune diseases

Clinical End Points & Rolling Patch test Correct Ans-Clinical end point Once a Laser treatment
has been carried out, we must assess how the skin responds this is called the clinical end point
Once the end point has been determined we can then establish if a rolling patch test is needed
Rolling patch test A rolling patch test is a test we carry out at the end of treatment to help us
determine what settings will be use on the next treatment
Clinical End point & Rolling patch Test Correct Ans-Mild end point- little to no redness on the
skin. PT to increase settings for next treatment. Moderate endpoint slight redness, slight heat a
little bit of PFO. - PT to increase or stay the same for next treatment (still good response) •
