2. Tunica media/ vasculosa: uvea
Middelste laag
Bestaat vnl uit choroidea
Sterk gevasculariseerd, opgebouwd uit losmazig bindweefsel met collageen en elastine vezels
Van binnen naar buiten opgebouwd uit:
Membraan van Brüch: verdikte basaalmembraan
Lamina choriocapillaris: enkelvoudig, dun laagje van bloedcapillairen
Lamina vasculosa choroideae: dikste laag met grotere bloedvaten
Lamina suprachoroidea: laag van losmazig bindweefsel met veel pigmentcellen
