INSTRUCTIONS AND EXAMINATION RULES:
1. Start with a cover page stating the module code (HRM3703)
and include your student number. This should be followed by
your answers to the questions. Note that all three questions are
compulsory. There are no optional questions.
2. Facts must be written out in complete, well-explained sentences.
No marks will be allocated to vague and single word or cryptic
answers. There is no need to include a table of contents,
introduction, conclusion, in-text citations or list of references.

3. While you are not required to cite your sources, this does not

include it in your assessment. You need to answer the questions

4. Number each page of your assessment clearly.
5. Answer files should be submitted in English ONLY. NO
other languages will be marked and you will receive zero
marks.
6. Submit your answers in one PDF document on the myExams
platform
(https://cems.myexams.unisa.ac.za). See the Student Guide:
my Exams File Upload Examination for details on the steps
that you should follow. No e-mailed answer files will be
accepted. It is preferable for you to type your answers (Font:
Arial, size 12) and then convert your document to PDF format
for submission. However, if this is not possible, you may also
write your answers down and scan them to a PDF file. Please
write legibly. Please ensure that all the pages are scanned in
the correct format and order and that the pages are
displayed correctly and clearly. If it is not visible, the
answer file will not be marked and 0% will be awarded.
7. Please ensure that your PDF document is NOT encrypted to a
“secured” mode and that it is NOT password protected as these
files cannot be marked. Virus infected files will also not be
marked. The maximum file size is 50 Mb.
8. NO late submissions will be accepted, once the three hours
have lapsed, convert your document to pdf format and start

9. Students are advised to preview submissions (answer scripts) to
ensure legibility and that the correct answer script file has
been uploaded. Incorrect answer scripts and/or submissions
made on unofficial examinations platforms (including the
invigilator cell phone application) will not

No e-mailed submissions will be accepted.
10. Students are permitted to resubmit their answer scripts on
myExams within the 30 additional minutes uploading time
should their initial submission be unsatisfactory.
11. A mark awarded for an incomplete or illegible scanned
submission will be the student’s final mark. No opportunity for
resubmission will be granted. The last submission will be
marked.
12. Students who have not utilised invigilation or proctoring tools
will be deemed to have transgressed Unisa’s examination rules
and will have their marks withheld. For this examination you
are required to use The Invigilator App.
13. Ensure that you submit a declaration of honesty on myExams
(this is part of the electronic submission process). Students
suspected of dishonest conduct during the examinations will be
subjected to disciplinary processes. Students may not
communicate with other students or request assistance from
other students during examinations. Plagiarism is a violation of
academic integrity, and students who do plagiarise or copy
verbatim from published work (even if you change a few
words) will be in violation of the Policy on Academic Integrity
