the reading, "false" or "not give" in the reading.

How to answer - In this set we'll introduce some general skills that should help you
understand the reading passages as well as finding the correct answer in the given time
frame.

General skills - 1- Read the question first
2- Mark keys words
3- Use the keywords from the question and look for them in the passage
4- Look for the exact words and synonyms
5- Pay attention to the affirmatives and negatives
6- Pay attention to contradictions
7- Pay attention to words like all vs some", "often vs always"

When to choose "true"? - The answer is "true" when the sentence in the question is
given in the reading passage. You can decide that by doing the following:

1- Look for the same words or synonyms.

Example
- Passage: this increase in cyber crime has alarmed many experts.
- Question: cyber crime is on rise.
- Answer: true
Reason: "rise" is a synonym for "increase"


2- Mark key words in the question and look for them in the passage
3- Pay attention to the following words: some, all, only, never, usually, often and
sometimes
4- Pay attention to contradictions
Example:
- Passage: Some people in Canada like to eat Poutine
- Question: Poutine is always eaten by Canadians
- Answer: false
