Dur ing the colonization of Nor ther n Amer ica the English settler s exchanged

technological exchange gr eatly influenced the Native Amer ican cultur e. For example
the intr oduction of fir ear ms changed how the Native Amer icans hunted for food,
and conducted w ar far e. Raw mater ials such as metal gr eatly increased the efficiency
and effectiveness of tools. As noted technology histor ian, Patr ick Malone states in
