‘Over elke zaak bestaan er twee opvattingen, die tegenover mekaar staan’: scepticisme (geen
absolute zekerheden)
humanisme: alle mensen zijn gelijkwaardig, sofisten beschouwden zich als wereldburgers en waren
tegen adellijke privileges en tegen slavernij
