“Wie zijn deze mannen en hoe worden ze loverboys?”
, Inleiding
Als tiener keek ik naar de veelbesproken film van Carry Slee, “Lover of loser”. Deze film vertelt het verhaal over
een meisje wie in de handen van een loverboy terecht komt. Ik vond dit erg heftig en toch interessant om deze
film te zien. De situatie waar het slachtoffer in terecht kwam probeerde ik te begrijpen. Enig zins vind ik dit
lastig, maar kan mij na veel boeken, films of interviews voorstellen hoe verliefd het slachtoffer is op de
loverboy. Ik vraag mij af wie deze loverboys zijn en hoe zij loverboys worden. Ik was altijd erg benieuwd hoe
het zit met de loverboypraktijken in Nederland.
Ik heb gekozen voor dit onderwerp omdat ik mij erg interesseer in de werking van de loverboys en wie dit zijn.
Ik begrijp zelf niet hoe je in eerste instantie erg dichtbij iemand kan komen, om deze persoon vervolgens te
misbruiken, te misleiden en nog veel meer. Naast het feit dat ik het heel heftig vind voor de slachtoffers, ben ik
erg benieuwd welke oorzaken de dader zo doet handelen.
Mijn onderzoeksvraag over loverboys luidt als volgt:
“Wie zijn deze mannen en wat maakt het, dat deze mannen zo handelen?”
