1) Ken de nierfunctie van de patient
2) Pas de dosis aan
3) Monitor de bloedspiegels
4) Volg de nierfunctie op
5) Vermijd andere nefrotoxische geneesmiddelen (NSAIDs), evt gebruik van ACE-I/ARB, corrigeer
