P5; Reflect on Your Own Personal and Professional Development
In this assignment, I am going to reflect on my own personal and professional development
throughout this course.
Personal and Professional Development!
I feel during this course, I have been able to develop my professional skills
by keeping organised while keeping up and completing all my course work. I
have kept myself organised where I have made myself a time table to be able
to keep on track for every piece of work that needs to be completed. I have
also learnt to get on with my work and to complete every section at once and
avoid leaving it blank that is handed to me as soon as I get it. this has
improved my professional development due to me being in a workplace, I
would be fired for putting of work all the time so during this course I have
learnt to get on with the tasks that I am given.
I have developed my English skill with a much better writing skill, this has
allowed me to expand on my course work and expanding my vocabulary. I
Knowledge, Skills and am able to communicate effectively through my writing skills als0,
Practice presenting what I want to the reader. I believe I know hand my work on
time on the deadlines I have been set, whilst doing this my learning has
become more independently. Personally, I believe this course has given me
so much more interpersonal skills and confidence when speaking in front of
groups.
I have found myself a study area that I am able to complete all my work
without getting distracted. This allows me to complete everything I need to
complete.
I had to do a maths additional help work shop for pupils in year 7, 8 and 9
which helped me overcome my confidence issue. I had to speak about a
different subject and it has helped both my personal and professional
development by staying professional throughout the workshop I
volunteered in.
I feel I have also developed intellectually throughout the course by
understanding what I expect of me to do for the work that has been given to
me. During this course, it has been a stressful time for me academically
trying to apply for university and knowing what course I am wanting to
apply for. However, nevertheless I still manage my stress levels very well
and leant to confide in teachers if I felt stress due to me knowing more often
than not, it is all in my head and reality isn’t really that bad.
Values and Beliefs My values and beliefs that I have, have played a significant part in my
personal and professional development over the course of this year. During
this course, I have matured and become my own person. I’m thinking about
moving to edge hill because all my friends want to go there. My values and
beliefs helped me be more independent and do what I really wanted to do
which was to go to Manchester Met university and to study Adult Nursing. I
successfully applied and have been accepted onto this course which I am
very proud off. This has motivated me in myself to be able to do whatever I
want to do.
My values and beliefs include ‘be true to yourself, do whatever makes you
happy and don’t let anyone else stop you or interfere with your progress for
the future’. This has helped me with my decisions of deciding my university
and whew I like to life and study my chosen course.
Career Aspirations One of the things that has greatly developed over this course Is my career
aspiration, this course helped me to realise that I want to help people in a
