The only thing Colonel learned from his dad is how to tie a tie. Colonel has a girlfriend Sara, who is a
weekday warrior. They dated for nine months but never actually got along with each other. He was
supposed to go with Sara and her parents to an opera with Sara's car but they didn’t go because they
got into a fight. The Colonel has a drink called Ambrosia ( drinks of the gods) . This is five parts milk
and one part vodka. Some people thought that the Colonel snitched the couple Paul and Marya. They
were in the last week of the previous school year and got suspended for four (actually three)
reasons: 1. they were naked 2. they were drunk 3. they were smoking and they were being offensive,
Paul is a weekday warrior and rich. Weekday warriors are students that get to go home on the
weekends.

Alaska has a car. The Colonel does basketball. They mostly only play basketball in the fall because
the school in their league are too small for the football teams. One of the things that appealed to Miles
was that his father told him there was no PE requirement. Miles absolutely hates sport. The important
thing about their basketball team is a senior player called Hank Walsten. He is five-foot eight. Wilson
Carbod is almost six-feet and the starting center in the basketball team. Colonel calls basketball the
Culver creek nothings. The Colonel got kicked out in that game, he already got kicked out thirty-seven
times.

“You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth thinking about how you will escape it one day and
how awesome it will be and imagining that future that keeps you going but you never do it. You just
use the future to escape the present (miles agrees). Alaska says: You never get me that’s the whole
