Key providers in sport development
The National Lottery is the main sources that money comes so that it can fund UK sport and Sport
England, that’s where the money comes thanks to national lottery there is funding that Department
for culture Media Sport (DCMS) gets also it can share the money between the big organisations for
example however the biggest organisation such as UK sport, will get more funding than Sport
England because it is bigger. National lottery wants to make it for everyone, inclusive of everyone no
matter age, nationally or gender this means that this should not be a barrier to participation in sport,
from every scratch card that a single person buys 75% of the cost of the card goes to the national
lottery so every year there is money coming in. So from that money, DCMS splits money and gives to
different companies and funds them. Thanks to national lottery there is money so that different
clubs can progress and get people involved in a sport even make them potentially very high standard
so that they can get new talent that is potentially athletes that can play professional sports.
DCMS is the department of culture, media and sport this is a government organisation aim to make a
more exciting place to live which they aim at people such as children, elder and working-class
middle-aged adults. Which the way to make people's life more exciting is by doing sport and to make
sure that there is a lot of different sport so that people would have a choice of doing different types
of sport. Another view that they have is that they want to make people having a better healthier
lifestyle and wellbeing so by making their life exciting is by funding multi-sports such as boxing,
rugby, football and lot of other sport clubs thanks to the different sport being funded they will have
a choice to do different sports that they may potentially like to do. People have choices in what they
want to do and if they can do what they want to do this makes them happy and if they are happy
then DCMS are making the right goal because the roles are to make their life more exciting. Which
means that their goal is achieved because there is enough sport that people can do which means
that the
The executive board are the people that are the second heights in the structure of DCMS and they
are all directors in total 7 directors are in charge of several different organisations from media to
finance and below them, there is much more and they are heads of a specific part in the DMCS such
as media there will be one person that will be in charge of it and will be head of it which will make
sure that everything is done correctly when they are in charge.
For example, Lise-Anne Biossire is head of media which she will be promoting things or showing
things threw different types of media. Also head of Tourism is Deirder Wells would be in increasing
tourism in England so that there would be more income to the counters economy. This possible to
do because media is prompting sport and people are getting to know about it and people such as
kids and other people see athletes as role models which they would like to see them so they would
